Find a battery that fits

Work through the load, space and charging checks below, then send the details you have. You do not need to know every answer: mark anything uncertain so our team can review it with you.

Start with your load type

The 6Ah model is for low-current standby uses such as alarms, access control and communications backup. Keep continuous current within 6A and the recommended continuous load at 75W or less. It is not for UPS units, inverters, motors, starter loads or RV electrical systems.

Before you start

  • Start with the space

Measure the available length, width and height, including room for terminals and cables.

  • Describe your equipment

List the main loads, hours of use and any charger, solar controller or DC-DC charger already selected.

  • Share how you use it

Include the destination, climate and quantity. If a detail is unknown, say so in the form.

1. Separate energy needs from current demand

  • Capacity: energy between recharges

List each appliance’s watts and hours of use to estimate daily watt-hours (Wh). Then note how long you expect to go between reliable charging opportunities.

Nominal energy = nominal voltage × Ah. A 12.8V, 100Ah model stores 1,280Wh nominally; that figure is not a promise of usable energy or runtime.

  • Current: equipment running together

Record which appliances run at the same time and any startup or surge demand. The battery, BMS, wiring and protection all need to suit that demand.

A higher Ah capacity alone does not make an inverter or motor compatible. For AC loads, battery-side demand also includes conversion losses.

A daily-use example you can replace with your own figures

  • Lighting

    40W total × 5 hours
    200Wh per day

  • Laptop

    60W × 3 hours
    180Wh per day

  • Phone charging

    30W total × 3 hours
    90Wh per day

Example total: 470Wh per day. These are illustrative appliance values, not a recommended setup, predicted battery runtime or a complete sizing calculation. Replace them with your measured or rated loads and actual running time. For cycling appliances, note their duty cycle; also include system losses and simultaneous/peak current before selecting a battery.

2. Check the installation space

Measure the compartment and allow for terminal connections. A matching case size alone does not confirm vehicle compatibility.

  • 100Ah DIN / H190

  • 100Ah Group 31

  • Measure the whole usable space

Record length × width × height and units. Measure the narrowest opening as well as the final compartment, then leave room for terminal covers, cable bends, handles and access for securing the battery.

  • Record how it will be secured

Photograph the tray or mounting points and note the required orientation. For DIN / H190, terminals must face up; do not mount upside down, and ask support before choosing a side-mount position.

  • Identify the existing system

Record the current battery label, system voltage, terminal positions and whether the battery serves house loads or engine starting. A matching case size does not confirm electrical compatibility.

3. Describe every charging source

Send the make/model and output settings of each charging device, including equipment that is built into a vehicle or boat. These checks help identify which information is missing before choosing a battery.

  • AC or shore power

List the charger’s output voltage and current, available battery profiles and connector type. Include its label or settings screen if you are unsure whether the profile is suitable for LiFePO4.

  • Solar input

Identify the solar controller and its battery-side profile and current limit. A panel wattage alone does not establish a suitable charging setup; include the controller model and battery-bank voltage.

  • Vehicle or other DC source

Identify the DC-to-DC charger and vehicle/source voltage, if present. For the 200Ah Heated model, the documented alternator route uses a DC-to-DC charger; do not treat this as approval to connect an alternator directly.

Charge-current limits to compare with your equipment

  • 6Ah and 50Ah

    6Ah: 6A maximum
    50Ah: 25A maximum

The Sentorise 20A charger exceeds the 6Ah charging-current limit.

  • 100Ah models

    SuperMini, DIN / H190 and Group 31:
    50A maximum continuous charge current

  • 200Ah models

    Standard and Heated:
    100A maximum continuous charge current

These are model limits, not suggested default settings or a universal charger match. Chemistry, charging profile, connectors and bank configuration must also match. Open the charger matching guide.

For cold-weather charging, specify the exact heating version. Both 200Ah versions have low-temperature charge protection; automatic self-heating is a separate feature of the Heated model.

4. Turn your notes into a useful request

  • Describe the job

State the application, system voltage, delivery country, number of batteries required and the time between charging opportunities. Include your daily Wh calculation and the appliances that run together.

  • Add the fit and equipment details

Copy your measurements, terminal/orientation requirements, charging-device models and expected conditions into the form. If a number is unknown, write “not sure” rather than choosing a value.

  • Keep supporting photos ready

Useful photos show the battery label, compartment, mounting points, charger/controller label and any existing wiring overview. The form has no attachment upload; email requested files separately with your submission reference.

After submitting, save the on-screen reference and the notes you sent. Use the same email address and reference for follow-up material to [email protected]. For reseller, fleet or repeated project requirements, use For Partners.
